ABSTRACT
A quasi-isotropic composite laminate is constructed in an attempt to create a structure that behaves like isotropic plate. Its membrane behavior similar of the plate while bending quite different from latter. Moreover, laminae may or not be arranged symmetrically with respect midplane thereby resulting mechanical response. In this work, guided wave propagation along multiple directions symmetric and plates evaluated. Experimental numerical results for fundamental modes 0 S are analyzed nonsymmetric layups. An eight-node brick type element based on three-dimensional theory used modeling predict numerically velocity propagating graphite/epoxy plates.
