ABSTRACT
We studied predictors of female sexual aggression (FSA) among a U.S. Mechanical Turk sample (from Amazon’s online crowdsourcing platform) 634 adult women ( median age = 32). A logistic regression analysis revealed that five measures contributed significantly to model predicting past use tactic post-refusal persistence (PRSP), accounting for 19% variance. Women’s PRSP was associated with lower scores on two assertiveness (the ability refuse sex and the ask questions about partner’s health history) higher acceptance heterosexual male rape myths, early courtship rehearsal (number others called, texted, tweeted, sexted due attraction before 18), sensation seeking. Based our results, we suggest training may be useful addition anti-sexual assault programming. For better prediction potential prevention FSA, recommend continued research variables in this study additional factors related maladaptive personality (e.g., psychopathy, narcissism, antisocial values) alcohol drugs.
