ABSTRACT
Chronic pain (CP) and rheumatoid arthritis (RA) pose particular challenges for the individual. Although biomedicine inevitably plays a role in reduction or control of some symptoms people living with chronic pain, directed self-management is also increasingly recognized as an important tool. Self-management can address pain-associated CP RA, often has broader aims, such promoting positive well-being. Forty-six interviews experiencing 46 those RA-associated were analyzed. Our analysis uncovered three broad strategies adopted by participants: body management, mind-management mindbody management. The demonstrated that sense well-being achieved not through alone, but various mind/body techniques managing accepting new limits, adjusting way relate to themselves. These are adjunct biomedical care pain.
