ABSTRACT
Objective: To report a case of an adolescent with autism clinically significant hypersexual behaviors in whom trial low-dose propranolol led to major clinical improvement. Case Summary: This describes 13-year-old boy history who presented the outpatient psychiatric clinic for that started at onset puberty. The affected his functioning both school and home. A propranolol, 0.3 mg/kg/d (10 mg twice day), targeting behavior remarkable remained stable on this dose 1 year. Discussion: Hypersexual exhibited by patients can be big challenge manage. literature pharmacological options manage these children adolescents is limited. Clinical data use are novel. Conclusion: our knowledge, first leading improvement autism. Propranolol may expand choice treatment option patient population.
