ABSTRACT
The authors present a relatively simple autometallographical procedure for tnetal localization in biological tissues. protocol demolistrates tnetals at very low concentrations certain key tissues of winkles atid mussels. following procedural variables have been considered: the type fixation, photographic emulsion and its way application, developes. In addition, some staining techniques were used to contrast without masking revealed metal deposits by significant background levels. offers reproducible results excellent resolution. This technique can valuable pliysiological toxicological studies on lnolluscs cell tissue (The J Histotechnol 21:123, 1998)
