The development of a brief and objective method for evaluating moral sensitivity and reasoning in medical students

ABSTRACT
Most medical schools in Japan have incorporated mandatory courses on ethics. To this date, however, there is no established means of evaluating ethics education Japan. This study looks 1) develop a brief, objective method evaluation for moral sensitivity and reasoning; 2) conduct test battery the PIT DIT students who are either currently school or recently graduated (residents); 3) investigate changes reasoning between years among residents.Questionnaire survey: Two questionnaires were employed, Problem Identification Test (PIT) portion Defining Issues (DIT) reasoning. Subjects consisted 559 272 residents from same located an urban area Japan.PIT results showed increase 4th 5th year followed by decrease 6th residents. No change development stage was observed.
