ABSTRACT
Information about genotypes and associated risk factors in hepatitis C virus (HCV) infected patients Iran is limited. The aim of this study was to identify the HCV a group from Iran.Genotyping analysis performed 156 with positive anti-HCV HCV-RNA. Patients were questioned concerning documented factors. Genotypes 1 3 found 87 (55.8%) 45 (28.8%) patients, respectively. most frequent subtype 1a (37.8), followed by 3a (28.9%) 1b (16.7%). There no statistically significant difference between analyzed acquisition infection. We further that 18 (40%) 17 (37.8%) intravenous drug users (IVDU) had genotype respectively.Genotypes are less prevalent IVDU than Europe USA, but there high similarity pattern both United States, Iran. However, case it can not be due people migration among countries since history travel abroad existed only 6 cases (13.3%).
