ABSTRACT
Mammals are potential hosts for many infectious diseases. However, studies on the viral communities of herbivorous mammals in Northwest Plateau limited. Here, we studied using virus metagenomic analysis to analyze and compare community composition seven animal species.By library construction next-generation sequencing, contigs singlets reads with similar sequences were classified into 24 families. Analyzed from perspective sampling areas, was relatively two areas Wuwei Jinchang, Gansu Province. species, species mostly ssDNA dominated by CRESS-DNA viruses. Phylogenetic based marker genes indicated that viruses microviruses have high genetic diversity. In addition DNA viruses, nodaviruses, pepper mild mottle picornaviruses RNA performed phylogenetic analysis. The nodaviruses believed infect plants insects, can bacteria, identifying they likely diet mammals. Notably, identified red deer wild horse, showing picornavirus found had similarity human hepatitis A virus, carried horse could potentially form a new within Picornaviridae family. This study explored mammalian characteristics threaten health. It reveals diversity stability helps expand our knowledge various pathogenic
