ABSTRACT
Abstract The current study aimed to evaluate Y chromosome haplotypes obtained from 1353 unrelated Iranian males using the AmpFlSTRTM YfilerTM kit; out of identified were unique. haplotype diversity (HD) and discriminating capacity (DC) values 1.00000 0.997, respectively. Analysis genetic distance was performed molecular variance (AMOVA) multidimensional scaling plots (MDS), revealing a statistically significant difference between population previous data reported for other populations neighboring countries. present findings are likely be useful forensic casework analyses kinship investigations.
