ABSTRACT
Staphylococcus aureus is a causative agent of diseases ranging from skin and soft tissue infections to several other invasive such as bacteraemia, osteomyelitis, pneumonia, well various non-invasive due secretion diverse array virulence factors. The aim this study was establish correlation between antibiotic resistance, traits, genotypes caused by MRSA in local hospital Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. For study, 118 S. isolates were obtained the Microbiology Department Sheth L.G General Hospital, India during period March 2022 September 2022. subjected susceptibility, phenotypic characterization genotypic adhesion genes genotyping agr SCCmec types. This reports 55.93% males 44.07% females. 88.98% associated with cases (SSTIs), one most common aureus. All multidrug resistant (MDR). Phenotypically, 95.76% reported be either strong or moderate biofilm producers, 94.07% showed lipolytic activity 91.53% β- haemolytic. Genotypically, genes, ebpS, eno, sarA, fnbA cna 94.07%, 93.22%, 82.20%, 78.81% 67.80% isolates, respectively spA, SE family, coa, pvl tsst, 99.15%, 97.46%, 84.75%, 77.12% 50% respectively. typing classification revealed type I (61.02%) III (35.59%) prevalent type. formation presence found I, IV. A observed pus samples II III, IA, II, IIIA, IIIB IV, formation, haemolysis, lipolysis prevalence genes. SSTIs infection Maximum resistance against β lactam, fluoroquinolones macrolides class antibiotics. Majority hemolytic, belonged III. Isolates belonging IV more virulent.
