ABSTRACT
The optimized illumination of plants using light-emitting diodes (LEDs) is beneficial to their photosynthetic performance, and in recent years, LEDs have been widely used horticultural facilities. However, there are significant differences the responses different crops wavelengths light. Thus, influence artificial light on photosynthesis requires further investigation provide theoretical guidelines for environments industrial crop production. In this study, we tested effects (white, W; blue, B; green, G; yellow, Y; red, R) with same photon flux density (300 μmol/m2·s) growth, development, photosynthesis, chlorophyll fluorescence characteristics, leaf structure, chloroplast ultrastructure Welsh onion (Allium fistulosum L.) plants.Plants W B treatments had significantly higher height, area, fresh weight than those other treatments. pigment content net rate (Pn) treatment were monochromatic treatments, transpiration (E) stomatal conductance (Gs) highest treatment, intercellular CO2 concentration (Ci) was Y treatment. non-photochemical quenching coefficient (NPQ) but characteristics differed among following order: > R G Y. This includes maximum photochemical efficiency photosystem II (PSII) under dark adaptation (Fv/Fm), PSII (Fv'/Fm'), (qP), actual (ΦPSII), apparent electron transport (ETR). Finally, structure showed most complete development treatment.White blue improved onions, whereas yellow reduced efficiency.
