ABSTRACT
To elucidate the value of texture analysis (TA) in detecting and differentiating myocardial tissue alterations on T2-weighted CMR (cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging) patients with cardiac amyloidosis (CA) hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM).In this retrospective study, 100 CA (58.5 ± 10.7 years; 41 (41%) females) 217 HCM (50.7 14.8 years, 101 (46.5%) who underwent scans were included. Regions interest for TA delineated by two radiologists independently imaging (T2WI). Stepwise dimension reduction feature selection based reproducibility, machine learning algorithms, correlation analyses performed to select features. Both groups randomly divided into a training dataset testing (7:3). After model was established set, diagnostic performance validated set further subgroup similar hypertrophy. The 7 independent features provided, combination, accuracy 86.0% (AUC = 0.915; 95% CI 0.879-0.951) 79.2% 0.842; 0.759-0.924) dataset. The differential hypertrophy 82.2% 0.864, 0.805-0.922). significance difference between AUCs late gadolinium enhancement (LGE) verified Delong's test (p 0.898). All seven showed significant differences (all p < 0.001).Our study demonstrated that images could feasibly differentiate from HCM, even hypertrophy. selected final achieve comparable capacity quantification LGE.
