ABSTRACT
We aimed to investigate the effect of triglyceride glucose (TyG) index on association between diabetes and cardiovascular disease (CVD).Data from 6,114 individuals were extracted analyzed China Health Retirement Longitudinal Survey (CHARLS) 2011 2018. Logistic regression analyses conducted assess relationship CVD across various TyG groups. The statistical method subgroup analysis was used determine correlation for each group by sex, history hypertension dyslipidemia, smoking, drinking.Diabetes positively associated with risk after adjustment in 2011(odds ratio (OR) 1.475, 95% CI 1.243-1.752, P < 0.001). There a gradient increase OR new-onset 2018 due at baseline value based fully adjusted model (P trend 0.05). ORs 1.657 (95% 0.928-2.983, = 0.098), 1.834(95% 1.064-3.188, 0.037) 2.234(95% 1.349-3.673, 0.006) T1, T2 T3 respectively. increasing still existed among those nondrinkers analysis.Elevated strengthens mellitus middle-aged elderly Chinese adults.
