ABSTRACT
The neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) is easily calculated blood test parameter, which can be used as marker to predict many inflammatory disorders. aim of this study was assess and compare the NLR in maternal with white cell (WBC) count C-reactive protein (CRP) concentration for prediction histological chorioamnionitis. This a case-control 137 woman preterm premature rupture membranes (PPROM) at gestational age between 22+ 0 34+ 6 weeks. Blood samples, collected less than 48 h before delivery least after administration corticosteroids, were selected analysis. by dividing number neutrophils lymphocytes. Chorioamnionitis diagnosed histopathological evaluation placental chorionic plate.Patients chorioamnionitis (HCA) had significantly higher levels WBC, CRP (p-value < 0.001). Levels predicted HCA an area under curve (AUC) 0.81, 0.81 0.89, respectively. statistically AUC but no significant difference found AUCs CRP. cut-off level 5,97, sensitivity 77 % specificity 95 %.NLR has good predictive value could additional diagnostic predicting cases 34 weeks gestation.
