ABSTRACT
Abstract Background A simple, non-quantitative, and cost-effective diagnostic tool would enable the diagnosis of flatfoot without need for specialized training. simple footprint assessment board that investigates which toe cord passes through from centre point heel to most lateral medial contour has been developed assess flatfoot. The purpose this study was verify validity a Methods Thirty-five consecutive patients with foot pain, injury, or any associated symptoms who underwent computed tomography (CT) were analysed prospectively. At time CT scan, analysis using performed. navicular index, tibiocalcaneal angle, calcaneal inclination angle evaluated by flat feet. These three criteria compared those regression analysis. In addition, same conducted separately young, middle-aged, older in order investigate each age group. Results index generally decreased as score increased. Calcaneal increased As scores approaching great toe, higher lower, is indicative likelihood derived correlated these measured CT, not only when result set non-continuous variable but also continuous variable. results age-stratified survey similar all groups. Conclusions findings suggest can be potentially useful detect Trial registration Retrospectively registered.
