ABSTRACT
To investigate the influence of chemical and microbiological methods caries induction on bond degradation adhesive systems to primary dentin.Flat dentin surfaces from 36 molars were assigned three groups (n = 12) according method induce caries-affected dentin: (1) control (sound dentin); (2) pH-cycling; (3) model. Teeth submitted for 14 days both methods, sound was stored in distilled water during same period. Specimens each experimental group then randomly reassigned two subgroups 6) system tested: two-step etch-and-rinse (Adper Single Bond 2 - SB) or self-etch (Clearfil SE CSEB). Composite buildups constructed sectioned obtain bonded sticks be subjected microtensile (μTBS) testing immediately after 12 months aging. The μTBS means analyzed by three-way repeated measures ANOVA Tukey's tests (α 0.05).The values obtained artificially-created lower compared with dentin, but not affected induction. Water storage reduced strengths, except CSEB dentin.Chemical affect similarly stability resin-dentin bonds teeth.
