ABSTRACT
Incidence of breast cancer in the Kingdom Saudi Arabia (KSA) has increased recent years. Screening helps early detection and diagnosis timely treatment lead to a better prognosis. Women healthcare profession can have positive impact on attitudes, beliefs, practices general public. Therefore, it is important that workers themselves adequate knowledge attitudes. We conducted study assess knowledge, related screening among female professionals.A cross-sectional was health professional KFMC (King Fahad Medical City). Data collected using pre-designed, tested, self-administered questionnaire. The questionnaire included specific sections test participants' attitude, cervical its screening. analysis done descriptive statistics.A total 395 care participated this study. mean age participants 34.7 Participants physicians (n = 63, 16.0%), nurses 261, 66.1%), allied 71, 18.0%). Only 6 (1.5%) had good level 104 (26.8%) demonstrated fair knowledge. Overall, 370 (93.7%), 339 (85.8%), 368 (93.2%) heard self-examination, clinical examination, mammography, respectively. A 295 (74.7%) reported practicing 95 (24.1%) undergone 74 (18.7%) ever mammography.The were found be lower than expected. Active steps are required develop educational programs for staff, which might empower them spread positively influence attitudes patients hospital.
