ABSTRACT
Accumulating evidence suggests that Fructus Ligustri Lucidi (FLL) plays a beneficial role in preventing the development of osteoporosis. However, effects FLL on estrogen receptor (ER) α and ERβ expressions remain unknown. Therefore, current study we attempted to probe into ERα femurs, tibias uteri ovariectomized (OVX) rats. The OVX rats were orally administrated with water extract (3.5 g/kg/day) for 12 weeks. The uteri, serum harvested from rats. levels (E2), luteinizing hormone (LH) follicle-stimulating (FSH) determined by ELISA. femurs as well analysed western blot immunohistochemical staining.FLL treatment did not increase uterus relative weight Further, increased expression tibias, enhanced resulted was stronger than response treatment. Meanwhile, administration FSH LH but E2 level serum.FLL shows tissue selection without uterotrophic effect, which may offer scientific efficiency safety its clinical application.
