ABSTRACT
Abstract Background In keeping with nation-wide efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19, Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) transformed fully its pedagogical delivery online mode, where we investigated teaching and learning experiences, physical mental health undergraduate students lecturers during COVID-19 pandemic. Methods We conducted a cross-sectional study on in science faculty using self-developed pretested questionnaire through anonymous data collection method. Results Fifty-six (100% response rate) 279 (93.3% participated. The positive experiences reported by include becoming independent (72.8%) adapting (67.4%), while learned new techniques (50.0%) became more innovative tools (48.2%). However, studying at home caused feel distracted (72.0%) feeling uncertainty towards examinations (66.7%), felt that students’ laboratory skills were compromised (44.6%). Even though assessments enabled explore all options (50.0%), they found it difficult maintain appropriate questions (41.1%) fair (37.5%). Majority missed eating out (68.8%) lack participation extracurricular activities (64.9%), time for exercise (51.8%), despite having screen computer-related stress terms health, increased was had self-reflection (54.8%). Although closer relationship family (44.6%), also stressed due deadlines, unexpected disruptions higher workloads (44.6%) as well concerns related work, self (39.3%).
