ABSTRACT
Decubitus ulcers are associated with a burden for the patients and cause enormous costs. One of reasons development decubitus is prolonged exposure to pressure. The aim this pilot study was examine pressure distribution healthy individuals either positioned in Positioning Neutral (LiN) or conventional positioning (CON).Four participants were supine, 30° degree side lying 90° position both LiN CON. A thousand sensors mattress enabled visual presentation low, medium high on screen. This processed by Photoshop order count pixels representing total support surface intensity.LiN showed, average, smaller measurable compared CON (46,293 versus 64,090 pixels). areas comparable. Mean low as (low: 8315 22,790 pixels; high: 3744 7277 pixels). The results indicate that suitable sore prophylaxis because showed less maximum
