ABSTRACT
Abstract Background Humanistic nursing practices scientifically improve the knowledge structure of nursing, enrich its theoretical system and support development. Therefore, it is crucial to evaluate humanistic practice abilities nurses. Objective This study aimed test psycholinguistic features, language construct validity Practice Ability Nursing Scale examine according nurses’ demographic characteristics. Design methods was a methodological type analytical research conducted with 397 clinical nurses working in hospital. A questionnaire including information evaluating empathy compassion adequacy used. Data were analyzed using explanatory confirmatory factor analysis, Cronbach’s alpha, item-total score correlation, split-half t-test, analysis variance correlation analysis. Results The scale consists 29 items four factors, explaining 61.15% total variance. Factor loads > 0.30. results χ2/df: 2.58, GFI: 0.86, TLI: 0.91, IFI: 0.92, CFI: RMSEA: 0.06, SRMR: 0.03. Cronbach alpha value for full 0.95. significant relationship found between proficiency. It observed that scores differed education level, years job satisfaction ( p < 0.05). Conclusion shows Turkish version HPAN valid reliable factors. ability differ postgraduate education, profession professional satisfaction.
