ABSTRACT
Abstract Background Skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM) is an extremely malignant tumor that associated with a poor prognosis. LSM2 has been found to be related different types of tumors; however, its role in SKCM poorly defined. We aimed determine the value as prognostic biomarker for SKCM. Methods The expression profile mRNA was compared between and normal tissues public databases, such TCGA, GEO, BioGPS. protein explored using immunohistochemistry (IHC) on tissue microarray containing 44 8 samples collected at our center. Kaplan-Meier analysis performed assess patients cell lines knockdown were used effects LSM2. Cell counting kit-8 (CCK8) colony formation assays conducted proliferation, whereas wound healing transwell carried out migration invasion abilities cells. Results more highly expressed levels than skin. Moreover, elevated shorter survival time early recurrence vitro results revealed silencing cells significantly inhibited migration, invasion. Conclusion Overall, contributes status prognosis may identified novel therapeutic target.
