ABSTRACT
Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma is one of the most common malignancies in world. Studies have confirmed that there are many genes abnormally hypermethylated esophageal carcinoma. The objective to detect methylation RASSF1A gene promoter and expression DNA methyltransferase 1 (DNMT1) protein cancer tissue discuss their relationship with carcinoma. The CpG island status were analyzed 100 cases tumor specimens as well adjacent tissues which was used for methylation-specific polymerase chain reaction (MSP). DNMT1 determined by immunohistochemistry. Difference between measurement data categorical compared through analysis t test chi-square test. All statistics taken a bilateral difference statistically significant (P < 0.05).The has been detected 45 out (45%) cases, while 2 normal (2%). highly methylated tissues, differences esophagus 0.05). 61 (61%) including 41 above samples promoter, none tissues. proteins expressed In positive RASSF1A, had (91%), non-methylated 20 55(36.3%), 0.05).Esophageal tumorigenesis may be related hypermethylation due high also hypermethylation.
