Scoping literature review on the Learning Organisation concept as applied to the health system

ABSTRACT
There is growing interest in the use of management concept a 'learning organisation'. The objective this review to explore work undertaken towards application health sector general and reach goal universal coverage particular. Of are exploration evaluation frameworks their health. We used scoping literature based on York methodology. conducted an online search using selected keywords some main databases science, websites reference books learning organisations. restricted focus our sources English language only. Inclusive exclusive criteria were applied arrive at final list articles, from which information was extracted then inserted chart. identified 263 articles other documents search. From these, 50 for full analysis 27 summary. majority concerned hospital settings (15 55%). Seven (25%) related centre setting. Four discussed system (14%). Most applications involved high-income countries (21 78%), with only one article being low-income country. found 13 different that allowed us assess organisation date. Such still rare, but increasingly used. no uniform framework thus far, convergence as dimensions matter increasing. Many methodological questions remain unanswered. also gap terms low- middle-income whole.
