ABSTRACT
Metabolic reprogramming, immune evasion and tumor-promoting inflammation are three hallmarks of cancer that provide new perspectives for understanding the biology cancer. We aimed to figure out relationship tumor glycolysis immune/inflammation function in context breast cancer, which is significant deeper biology, treatment prognosis cancer.Using mRNA transcriptome data, tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) maps based on digitized H&E-stained images clinical information from The Cancer Genome Atlas projects (TCGA), we explored expression prognostic implications glycolysis-related genes, as well enrichment scores dual role different cells microenvironment. between activity was studied by using differential genes analysis, gene ontology (GO) Kyoto Encyclopedia Genes Genomes (KEGG) set analyses (GSEA) correlation analysis. Most had higher compared normal tissue. Higher phosphoglycerate kinase 1 (PGK1) associated with poor prognosis. High group upregulated immune/inflammation-related expression, pathways especially IL-17 signaling pathway, multiple such Th2 macrophages. However, high lower infiltration tumor-killing NKT checkpoints PD-L1, CTLA4, FOXP3 IDO1.In conclusion, enhanced pro-tumor immunity. interaction may be mediated through pathway.
