ABSTRACT
Appropriate dietary intake can have a significant influence on athletic performance. There is growing consensus sports nutrition and professionals working with athletes often provide education. However, due to the limitations of existing knowledge questionnaires, previous reports athletes' may be inaccurate.An updated questionnaire has been developed based recent review guidelines. The tool validated using robust methodology that incorporates relevant techniques from classical test theory (CTT) Item response (IRT), namely, Rasch analysis.The final 89 questions six sub-sections (weight management, macronutrients, micronutrients, nutrition, supplements, alcohol). content face validity confirmed feedback expert dietitians university students, respectively. internal reliability as whole high (KR = 0.88), most achieved an acceptable reliability.
