Abstract Background This study identified patient profiles in terms of their quality outpatient care use, associated sociodemographic and clinical characteristics, adverse outcomes based on frequent emergency department (ED) hospitalization, death from medical causes. Methods A cohort 18,215 patients with substance-related disorders (SRD) recruited addiction treatment centers was investigated using Quebec (Canada) health administrative databases. latent class analysis produced, identifying three while multinomial logistic regressions tested associations characteristics outcomes, respectively.
