ABSTRACT
Abstract Background Aortoesophageal fistula (AEF) is a relatively rare condition that often life-threatening. Secondary AEF complication of previous surgery, which can be more critical and challenging than primary AEF. The number secondary increasing due to increase in the thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR). Although TEVAR has become successful alternative surgical strategy for aneurysms, after might other because severe adhesion between esophagus residual wall. Methods This study analyzed six patients with who were treated at Tokyo Medical University Hospital 2011 2016. These participants included four had undergone two total arch replacement. Results they subsequently hospitalized long period, open was completed alone performed discharged without major complications shortly. Combined as bridge surgery planned TEVAR.
