ABSTRACT
Shanghai, in east China, has one of the world's highest burdens Helicobacter pylori infection. While multidrug regimens can effectively eradicate H. pylori, increasing prevalence antibiotic resistance (AR) been recognized by WHO as 'high priority' for urgent need new therapies. Moreover, genetic characteristics AR Shanghai is under-reported. The purpose this study was to determine prevalence, re-substantiate resistance-conferring mutations, and investigate novel elements associated with AR.
