ABSTRACT
Herpes virus remains dormant in human cells and could reactivate under immunosuppressed conditions, such as prolonged critical illnesses. The phenomenon of viral replication during intensive care is well known, even patients without a history immunosuppression, but it usually does not have clinical impact. Systemic reactivation leads to DNA blood. It unclear whether this marker morbimortality or true pathogenic process. Therefore, what medical treatment most appropriate for simple replication. In organ damage suspected be induced by herpes virus, there no consensus on the duration. Here, we report rarely described case multiorgan failure implicating simplex discuss its treatment.A 53-year-old Caucasian woman was admitted unit septic shock. She presented pneumonia due Klebsiella pneumoniae. Two weeks after admission, she showed with acute respiratory distress syndrome circulation failure. had digestive cutaneous lesions typical 1.
