ABSTRACT
Hydrocele, an abnormal fluid collection between parietal and visceral layers of the tunica vaginalis, is commonest cause scrotal swelling, it affects all age groups. Calcification hydrocele sac/wall a rare clinical entity. The etiology calcification sac not clear, but most literature proposes that secondary to chronic irritation. Trauma infectious diseases including Schistosoma haematobium, filariasis, tuberculosis can also sac.A 74-year-old Ethiopian male patient presented with left side swelling 3 years duration, which was initially small progressively increased. He had no history trauma, he on contralateral side. Scrotal ultrasound (US) showed large echodebrinous left-side calcifications, bilateral testis appear normal in size, echogenicity, color Doppler flow index likely hematocele. Therefore, diagnosis left-sided calcified hydrocele, operated excised sent for histopathology. Finally, discharged improved after 2 days hospital stay.Calcification vaginalis very probably due irritation wall from coexisting hydrocele. Surgical excision treatment choice.
