ABSTRACT
Abstract Background Krüppel-like factor 7 (klf7), a transcription in the nervous system to regulate cell proliferation and differentiation, has been recently identified as causal gene for autism spectrum disorder (ASD), but mechanism behind remains unknown. Result To uncover this mechanism, study we characterized involvement of klf7 circadian rhythm by knocking down N2A cells examining rhythmic expression genes, especially Clock gene. We constructed −/− mice then investigated into regulation on genes vivo well use melatonin rescue behavior. Our results illustrated that was disrupted knockdown showed autism-like Also, found downregulated brain these downstream were disturbed. Melatonin, drug, could level amplitude knockout further autistic behavior mice. Conclusion Klf7 deficiency causes ASD disrupting related trigger oscillations. treat ASD, maintaining homeostasis is promising with melatonin.
