ABSTRACT
Internal dosimetry evaluation consists of a multi-step process ranging from imaging acquisition to absorbed dose calculations. Assessment uncertainty is complicated and, for that reason, it commonly ignored in clinical routine. However, essential adequate interpretation the results. Recently, EANM published practical guidance on analysis molecular radiotherapy based application law propagation uncertainty. In this study, we investigated overall sample patient following guidelines. The aim study was provide an indication typical uncertainties may be expected performing dosimetry, determine parameters have greatest effect accuracy calculations and consider potential improvements could made if these effects were reduced.Absorbed doses relative calculated 49 patients total 154 tumours. A wide range values observed (14-102%). Uncertainties associated with each quantity along calculation chain (i.e. volume, recovery coefficient, calibration factor, activity, time-activity curve fitting, time-integrated activity dose) estimated. An equation derived describe relationship between volume. largest source error VOI delineation. By postulating different FWHM, impact system spatial resolution investigated. To best our knowledge, first cohort cases. Wide inter-lesion variability observed. Hence, proper assessment should considered as basic scientific standard. model quick estimate without implementing entire schema, which useful practice, presented. Ameliorating future key factor accurate assessment.
