ABSTRACT
Abstract Background Although not standard of care, Cystic Fibrosis patients with recurrent hemoptysis occasionally have coil embolization bronchial arteries. In the event recanalization these arteries in this specific subset patients, presence indwelling coils makes prospect conventional particle more difficult, preventing both adequate catheterization coiled segment and reflux particles. Case presentation report, we describe a case artery complex patient massive from recanalized utilizing Scepter Balloon Catheter® (Microvention Terumo, USA) administration liquid embolic agent Onyx® (Medtronic, USA). Conclusions The occlusion balloon catheter allowed for careful placement tip within interstices pre-existing coils, allowing Onyx injection directly into mass without reflux, reconfirming benefits providing evidence that should be added to armamentarium devices used hemoptysis.
