ABSTRACT
Abstract Galectin-9 is a member of the galectin family and has been identified as an eosinophil chemoattractant produced by activated T lymphocytes. Vascular endothelial cells play important role in initial step recruitment activation immune inflammatory responses. We have addressed stimulation galectin-9 expression cells. was detected membrane cytosolic fractions human umbilical vein stimulated with interferon-γ (IFN-γ). IFN-γ also enhanced adhesion eosinophilic leukemia-1 to monolayers, it inhibited presence lactose. Interleukin-4, which induces eotaxin expression, did not affect galectin-9. The situ endothelium from patients diseases found express IFN-γ-induced production may responses regulating interactions between vascular wall eosinophils.
