ABSTRACT
Distributed acoustic sensing (DAS) using fiber-optic cables as sensors has become a standard measurement technique in many industrialized settings. Geophysical applications have been mainly commercialized the borehole environment. When deployed on seabed (SB), horizontal analysis of DAS data poses new challenges due to particularity receiver response and characteristics data. Recent acquisition 2D towed-streamer (TS) survey following path communication cable (installed 1998), which is interrogated continuously throughout TS acquisition, enables us jointly analyze SB-DAS conventional recorded modern hydrophone streamer from through different processing stages up migrated image. The recording old generate excellent P-wave converted wave (PS) images subsurface. However, care needed when recovering high spatial frequencies damped by nature measurements (which also may depend hardware used) demonstrating recovery signal within (DP) sequence. Our focus associated with DP entrenched marine cables. Given simple sequence reference, we examine an equivalent recommended practice for analysis, DP, imaging
