ABSTRACT
We study seismic wave propagation in porous media within the viscosity-extended Biot framework. For this purpose we have developed a numerical solver based on finite element method. It is implemented frequency domain and makes use of absorbing boundary conditions form an extended Sommerfeld condition. The analytic solution provided by Green's function used to verify Our approach allows us simulate waves heterogeneous formations modeled as piece-wise homogeneous poroelastic entire range.
