This paper examines one alternative geographical seeking narrate negate emergent its binary division by drawing upon memory multinational Austro-Hungarian empire. In particular, I look ways in which Habsburg myth being adopted articulated within context erstwhile Austrian province Galicja now torn between states Poland Ukraine straddling probable border Union. Through an analysis imperial felix, attempts trace ideal liminal coexistence resurrected present day order subvert (national soon supranational) borderlines cutting through these territories’ heart argue for their reconceptualization wholly border-space.
