ABSTRACT
Introduction The Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ) is one of the most widely used screening instruments in child adolescent psychiatry. Studies have shown that parent a better informant than adolescent, both for externalising internalising disorders (Goodman et al, 1997, 2000). Objectives Aim this study was to examine prevalence reported problems outpatient psychiatry setting using SDQ differences between reports. Methods group 101 adolescents (11-17 y.o.) their parents, 2 psychiatric care centres Latvia. Internalising were assessed self-report version. When analyzing score, 3rd 4th band defined as “high”. Results mean age population 14,04 years (SD 1,96) N=54 female. 60,4% parents 52,5% high level peer problems, 63,4% 51,5% emotional problems. Parent report results concordant two thirds cases. Adolescents 9% 14% cases respectively, when did not. And on contrary - 22% Conclusions More half reports showed levels Every fifth higher adolescent. This agrees with previous findings single (parent) might be more informative multi-informant
