Impact of protein energy malnutrition on hospitalized patients with acute myeloid and lymphoid leukemia: A United States population-based cohort study.

6548 Background: Acute leukemia poses a significant burden to the society and healthcare system. Advances in chemotherapeutics hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) have increased survival these patients. Protein energy malnutrition (PEM) frequently complicates clinical picture patients with cancer, however data on impact of PEM acute myeloid lymphoid is limited. Methods: We utilized 2020 National Inpatient Sample (NIS) Database conducting this retrospective cohort study. identified (myeloid lymphoid) using appropriate ICD-10 diagnostic codes. stratified based presence or absence PEM. A survey multivariable logistic linear regression analysis was used calculate adjusted odds ratios (ORs) for primary secondary outcomes. p value <0.05 considered statistically significant.
