ABSTRACT
Cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) expression and prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) production have been shown to play key roles in the regulation of ovulation. The TGF-β superfamily members are important molecules that regulate many ovarian functions under normal physiological pathological conditions. TGF-β1 its receptors expressed human granulosa cells. However, date, whether can COX-2 PGE2 production, which turn contribute process ovulation, remains unknown. The objective study was investigate effects on cells.SVOG cells were obtained from women undergoing vitro fertilization immortalized with Simian virus 40 large T antigen. SVOG used effect production. The conducted at an academic research center.mRNA protein levels examined by RT-quantitative real-time PCR Western blotting, respectively. concentrations culture medium measured ELISA.TGF-β1 treatment induced production. inductive abolished inhibition type I receptor (TβRI). In addition, activated phosphorylated mothers against decapentaplegic (Smad)-2 Smad3 signaling pathways. Inhibition Smad pathways small interfering RNA-mediated approaches attenuated TGF-β1-induced production.TGF-β1 inducing through a Smad-dependent pathway
