ABSTRACT
Postlaparoscopic shoulder pain (PLSP) frequently follows laparoscopic surgery. In this placebo-controlled study, we evaluated the efficacy of two perioperative doses pregabalin 300 mg 12 h apart for preventing and attenuating PLSP after cholecystectomy. The frequency severity PLSP, need postoperative rescue analgesia, side effect profiles were assessed 48 postoperatively. both groups, overall incidence did not differ significantly, score time to first cumulative ketorolac consumption similar at each timepoint. However, 2-h oversedation was higher with pregabalin.
