ABSTRACT
In Brief Cricothyroidotomy is the final rescue maneuver in difficult airway management. We compared 4 techniques of oxygenation via cricothyroid membrane a manikin. The were wire guided, trocar, cannula with jet ventilation, and blade technique (scalpel endotracheal tube). wire-guided group, time taken to ventilation was slower on all attempts, there no successful attempts <40 seconds. There differences between other groups at any time. Time improved repetition groups. Skills retained 1 month. Published ahead print February 8, 2010
