ABSTRACT
To investigate the correlation between serum vitamin D level and clinical outcomes after repair of rotator cuff tears.A total 122 patients who met inclusion criteria were followed up for 12 months from March 2018 to 2020 analyzed retrospectively, including 50 males 72 females with an average age of(62.10±8.39) years old (ranged, 34 82 old). All divided into deficiency group(vitamin D<20 μg/L) control D≥20 μg/L), 62 cases in group, (14.80±3.18) μg/L;60 D(25.17±5.64) μg/L. The two groups compared terms age, gender, body mass index(BMI), tear size, degree retraction, fatty infiltration, injury factors, postoperative pain VAS score, shoulder joint function re-tear rate. all was categories:<60 ≥60 old;BMI <24 kg/m2 ≥ 24 kg/m2;tear size ≤3 cm >3 cm;retraction ≤2 >2 cm;fat infiltration grade grade;and course disease months. Sugaya type variables listed above calculated. There no major complications such as infection, anchor withdrawal revision surgery any on. There statistical differences factor, BMI, duration (P>0.05). Constant-Murley scores, UCLA ASES scores improved considerably surgery(P<0.05);however, there significant difference 1 month 3 operation, group scoring higher, 6 operation. Tear size(>3 cm), retraction(>2 infiltration(>2 degree) shown be independent risk factors retear by Logistic regression analysis(P<0.05). comparison using a 2×5 row list showed that classification re-tear(grade Ⅰto Ⅴ) statistically different(t=14.228, P=0.007). It discovered different groups.Vitamin is not correlated rate, however it associated early (1 months) quality healing (Sugaya classification) surgery.
