ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT Expression of the Lactate Dehydrogenase (LDH) genes during various stages spermatogenesis was studied by using a combination Northern blot analyses and in situ hybridization techniques. These studies have indicated that developmentally programmed expression all three functional LDH occurs differentiation germ cells. The LDH/C (ldh-3) gene expressed exclusively meiosis spérmiogenesis, beginning leptotene/zygotene spermatocytes continuing through to elongated spermatids. accompanied transient LDH/A (ldh-1) pachytene round LDH/B (Idh-2) mainly Sertoli spermatogonia! By somatic cell hybrids, has been mapped mouse chromosome 7, establishing it is syntenic with locus. Experimental observations made this study provide new insight into order sequence events involved regulation family spermatogenesis.
