ABSTRACT
Abstract A novel ruthenium sensitizer TUS-25 with a hexylthiophene-functionalized terpyridine ligand has been synthesized to improve the light-absorption ability of terpyridine-based sensitizers. The incident photon-to-current conversion efficiency DSC at around 400 nm was increased greatly by introduction two hexylthiophene units. showed 7.5% under AM 1.5 (100 mW cm−2) irradiation.
