ABSTRACT
BACKGROUND:Snakebite envenoming results from injection of a mixture different toxins following snakebite. Coagulopathy and life-threatening hemorrhage can occur, or venom-induced consumption coagulopathy (VICC). A rare case is presented spontaneous splenic due to VICC that was successfully treated by non-surgical artery embolization. CASE REPORT:A 62-year-old man admitted the emergency department after an episode dizziness loss consciousness He transferred our hospital with hypotension abnormal blood coagulation test. On admission, he hypotensive, reduced hemoglobin hematocrit levels, but did not complain abdominal pain. The occult source bleeding identified computed tomography (CT) as hemorrhage. Treatment began administration antivenom transfusion. Splenic angio-embolization performed control without complication. CONCLUSIONS:Snakebite associated serious condition. Because possibility internal organs vessels, imaging studies should be soon possible. For patients who are hemodynamically stabilized have atraumatic spleen, non-operative treatment using may intensive monitoring follow-up.
