ABSTRACT
BACKGROUND:Tacrolimus is a widely used immunosuppressant in renal transplant recipients. It was demonstrated rats and healthy volunteers that Wuzhi capsules could inhibit metabolism maintain blood concentration of tacrolimus. However, there are no clinical studies This research aimed to assess the effect on tacrolimus MATERIAL AND METHODS:A total 158 Chinese recipients receiving with or without were included this retrospective study. The cohort study 126 recipients, 86 (WZCs) other 40 not WZCs. Another 32 involved self-control RESULTS:Dose- body weight-adjusted trough concentrations (C0/D/W) WZC group found be significantly higher than non-WZC (P<0.05). improvement C0/D/W by administration more significant CYP3A5 expressers non-expressers following subgroup analysis. Furthermore, had remarkably proportion subjects who reached target group, both (P=0.01) (P<0.001). Multiple linear regression analysis confirmed positive impact CONCLUSIONS:Wuzhi can increase adverse effects allograft function, especially expressers. Efficient convenient immunosuppressive achieved treatment including capsules.
