ABSTRACT
Objectives: Urinary incontinence (UI) is the involuntary loss of urine or inability to control urination. The International Continence Society defines UI as any complaint urine. a very important health problem that affects women’s quality life. It can lead decrease in self-confidence and prevent them from participating social activities. This study was conducted investigate prevalence women living Turkey, factors affecting it, attitudes toward UI. Methods: descriptive cross-sectional included 903 who applied 17 family centers Mersin, between May 10th June 2019 for reason. data were obtained using information form Incontinence Attitude Scale (UIAS). Data analysis performed with SPSS-21 percentiles, mean±standard deviation, Pearson chi-square tests. Results: According results obtained, 28.9% had problems, more than half (54.6%) did not present institution this problem, 54.8% receive treatment. In addition, frequency experiencing higher those chronic disease (59.2%) without disease, difference significant. Conclusion: demographic fertility characteristics influenced among study, negative experienced problems.
