ABSTRACT
<ns7:p><ns7:bold>Background: </ns7:bold>Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are a major cause of morbidity and mortality globally. In low-income settings, some NCDs without symptoms so regular screening for early detection is key. However, routine limited in the general public even among elite. We therefore set out to assess health practices lecturers university Ghana.</ns7:p><ns7:p> <ns7:bold>Methods: </ns7:bold>This was cross-sectional study involving 205 Kwame Nkrumah University Science Technology from February August 2022. A questionnaire used gather data both male female based on their self-reported declaration being or female. Data were analyzed using descriptive inferential statistics.</ns7:p><ns7:p> <ns7:bold>Results: </ns7:bold>We found that, 41 (20.0%) (both men women) had never checked blood pressure (BP), 140 (68.3%) check BP twice month 24 (11.7%) do more than 3 times month. Overall, 105 (57.18%) have high BP<ns7:bold> (</ns7:bold>>120 mmHg, >80 mmHg). Among with hypertension, 59 (50.9%) often each month, whereas 22 (18.97%) did not. The 164 (80%) sugar level since they assumed lectureship position. who sugar, 78 (47.55) not happy levels. Lecturer’s age (40 49 years) be associated bivariate analysis (p=0.036), but multivariate (p=0.114). analyses, higher risk (OR 1.35; 95% CI 0.29-6.21) developing hypertension compared lecturers.</ns7:p><ns7:p> <ns7:bold>Conclusions:</ns7:bold> has revealed that lecturers, just like population moderate care checks. need setup occupational therapy units all universities overdue.</ns7:p>
